Where it all begins but does not end…There are no words that have not already been said about the beauty, the magnificence, the character of the Burgundy Sun legend. While I was honored to have him in our barn for a brief period of time, it was perhaps the most instrumental time. As you see, Burgundy Sun was thirty years old when he came to us. And, while he had many progeny on the ground, the last one being our Reign, Annette was never able to collect and store Burgundy Sun's bloodlines for reasons of her own. Therefore, it was during his year with us that he gave us perhaps the greatest gift of all…his stored semen and DNA to be passed on for future generations to come. It is bitter sweet that I share Burgundy Sun has crossed the Rainbow Bridge; however, his genetics live on with our utilization of today’s cryogenic technology.
It is with great honor that I announce, Burgundy Arabian Stud will continue Annette Weber’s line breeding program to preserve the Phara Farm lineage with the concentration of Burgundy Sun blood. LONG LIVE the KING of the Sun God horses, Burgundy Sun!

BURGUNDY SUN is a product of the renowned Phara Stud breeding program known for its linebreeding to AARAF through LEWISFIELD SUN GOD with an added element of old Egyptian breeding through descendants of the Henry Babson imports of 1932., who were successful in athletic endeavors from polo to endurance riding. Phara horses have superb conformation and athletic ability and are noted for their trot. They are also noted for their color-most being dark chestnut with flaxen manes and tails. BURGUNDY SUN is by halter champion ECLIPSE OF THE SUN, a son of halter champion SUN GOD REFLECTION. SUN GOD REFLECTION is by halter champion and champion sire GOLDEN REFLECTION, whose sire, halter champion and champion sire GOLDEN PHARAO, combines Crabbet and Babson Egyptian blood. GOLDEN REFLECTION’s dam AAZKAFRA is a champion producing daughter of AARAF, sire of LEWISFIELD SUN GOD.
